Thermostatic Radiator Controls

By installing thermostatic radiator controls to your existing radiators, it will allow you to control the temperature of individual rooms to ensure that they are not being heated when not required. 

A thermostatic radiator valve can be set to heat a room to the required setting efficiently and without compromising comfort. Once the room temperature reaches that setting, the valve turns the radiator off. When the room temperature drops again, the thermostatic valve turns the radiator back on again

By cleaning your heating system or getting a powerflush carried out, this will remove all of the sludge and contaminants, ensuring that the correct hot water is produced to your radiator, resulting in the correct heat being given to the room. This will heat up your rooms quicker and stop the boiler from being on as long.

Heating Controls

If you have old inefficient heating controls or no thermostatic controls at all then it would be beneficial to install or upgrade your controls to a newer version. 

You can get Smart controls like Nest or Hive, which enables you to control your heating from any location. This will also allow you to turn off the heating if you have left it on when you left the house. If you have recently upgraded your central heating boiler, sometimes the manufacturer has there own smart control than modulates the temperature of your radiators down to suit what is required to heat the home. We would be able to advise you if this is an option as the manufacturers controls are normally more efficient rather than universal controllers.
